How do I wash my blanket?

Machine wash your blanket on a ‘gentle’ or ‘delicate’ cycle setting, using regular detergent.
(stay away from fabric softeners and bleach)

When the wash cycle is complete, lay your blanket flat to dry overnight. You can also hang it over a staircase railing or on a clothesline in the warmer months.

What material are our blankets made with?
Each handmade piece is made from 100% polyester Chenille Yarn, which is not only extremely soft but also highly resistant to wear and tear. Our yarn is custom-made and supports another Canadian small business.
Who makes your blankets and where does production take place?
Each piece is hand-knit by Nicnakknits Founder, Nicole in her home-based production studio in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. During peak season, Nicole will occasionally have help in her production space from her Mother and Husband- Nicnakknits is truly a family business!
Are they machine washable?
Yes! Our blankets are very durable and machine washable. You can find our simple washing instructions at the top of this page.
Do you offer custom designs?
Custom designs are always encouraged! Please visit our custom orders page for more information and colour selection.

Do you offer wholesale options for retailers?
Yes! We currently offer wholesale to a select audience. Those with brick-and-mortar stores take priority. Please visit our wholesale application page to complete the required form.
Do you host knitting classes or workshops?
Classes and workshops are available for blankets and home decor items. Events are available upon request and at the discretion of the Nicnakknits team. Class pricing can vary based on number of participants and the location of the event. Please fill out our general contact form to request more information.
What is your average turnaround time and how will I know when my order ships?
Each of our blankets is made to order. Most of the year, our average turnaround time is 7-10 business days. This time may increase up to 3 weeks during peak season (November + December). During peak season, you will find our shipping deadlines posted on our social media platforms. When your order has been made, you will receive an email with shipping confirmation, tracking and estimated delivery time. Shipping is processed Monday to Friday. Holidays and weekends are excluded. During peak times shipping may be delayed. Weather delays may disrupt your shipping times as well.
